Request to delete your Globi account and associated data

How to Delete Your Account

Follow these steps in the Globi app:

  1. 1Open the Globi app and make sure you're logged in to your account
  2. 2Go to your Profile by tapping the profile icon in the navigation bar
  3. 3Open Account Settings by tapping the settings icon
  4. 4Select "Delete Account" option
  5. 5Follow the on-screen directions to confirm your account deletion

Important Notice

Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Make sure you want to permanently delete your account before proceeding.

What Data Gets Deleted

Data That Will Be Deleted

  • Profile Information: Name, bio, photos, and preferences
  • Account Credentials: Email, phone number, and login information
  • Conversations: All messages and chat history
  • Connections: Matches, likes, and social connections
  • Activity Data: App usage, interactions, and preferences
  • User-Generated Content: Posts, comments, and uploads

Data That May Be Retained

The following data may be retained for legal, safety, or operational purposes:

  • Legal Compliance: Data required for legal obligations, fraud prevention, or safety investigations
  • Transaction Records: Payment history and receipts (if applicable)
  • Anonymized Analytics: Aggregated, non-identifiable usage data for improving our services
  • Communications Backup: Support tickets and correspondence for legal purposes

Data Retention Period

Immediate Deletion: Your account and profile will be immediately deactivated upon deletion request.

30-Day Grace Period: Most personal data will be permanently deleted within 30 days of your deletion request. During this period, your account cannot be recovered.

Extended Retention: Data required for legal compliance, safety, or fraud prevention may be retained for up to 90 days or as required by law.

Backup Systems: Data in backup systems will be deleted in accordance with our standard backup deletion cycles (typically within 90 days).
